Handcrafted in Italy from vegetable-tanned buffalo leather, this style is Blake stitched, a superior construction method that yields numerous benefits, including maximum sole flexibility for exceptional comfort and fashionable aesthetics. For added traction and grip, the buffalo leather sole is reinforced with rubber sections. These soles are lighter and offer more traction and grip than traditional leather soles.
The dimensional, tonal finish is the result of a meticulous artisanal process, which starts from the dip-dyeing of natural crust leather and sees additional layers of dye gradually applied by hand once the shoe is stitched together. To create a distressed, urban look, this style also undergoes an exclusive antiquing process called stone washing, consisting of washing the shoe in open washing machines filled with water and pumice stones.
The shades of uneven intensity are then emphasised through careful waxing and brushing. The sole is also dip-dyed in black paint and then brushed for an all-over vintage effect.
