Handcrafted in Italy and constructed from top quality horsehide, a luxurious leather often hailed as the all-rounder for its durability and handsome aesthetic, fine grain and smooth hand. The uneven nuances and shades of the upper are created through artful hand-buffering and emphasised through careful waxing which makes each pair one-of-a-kind.
The SLOANE collection features hand-built vegetable-tanned water buffalo leather outsoles, cut from the double butt of the hide, where the thickness is about 7mm. For added traction and grip, the leather sole is reinforced with rubber insertions, a rarity in the industry due to the extraordinary level of craftsmanship required to construct them. These soles are lighter and more flexible than rubber soles but offer more traction and grip than traditional leather soles.
